Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how AutoVanish (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use our marketing website at autovanish.focusfolk.com and when you install or use the AutoVanish application from the Shopify App Store.
Shopify merchants are also subject to Shopify's policies and the permissions you grant when you install the app. This policy is not legal advice.
1. Who we are
AutoVanish is a Shopify app that helps merchants control product visibility based on inventory. For privacy questions, use the contact details on our Support page.
2. Website (waitlist & marketing)
If you join our waitlist or submit a form on this site, we receive the information you provide (for example, name, email, and optional store URL) through our form provider. That information is used to respond to your request and to send product updates you agreed to receive.
We use standard analytics and hosting logs as provided by our infrastructure; those may include IP address, browser type, and pages viewed.
3. Shopify app
When you install AutoVanish on a Shopify store, we access store data only as permitted by Shopify and the scopes you approve at installation. We use this data to provide automation (for example, inventory and product visibility), settings you configure, activity logs inside the app, and compliance with Shopify's requirements.
The app is designed to store shop and catalog–related operational data(such as product identifiers, titles, inventory levels, and channel publication state) rather than your customers' personal shopping profiles. If Shopify sends mandatory compliance webhooks (for example, data or redaction requests), we process them as required.
Merchant staff authentication with Shopify may involve session data managed by Shopify and our app framework as needed to keep the embedded admin experience secure.
4. Retention
We retain information only as long as needed to run the service, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. When you uninstall the app, we delete associated app data in line with Shopify's processes and our compliance obligations (including shop data removal where applicable).
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data with service providers who help us host, operate, and secure the service (for example, hosting, email delivery, and form handling), and where required by law.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of personal information, or to object to certain processing. Merchants and buyers may also exercise privacy rights through the store owner or Shopify as described in Shopify's documentation.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and adjust the “Last updated” date.
